Privacy Policy

InstaStalk shows publicly available Instagram activity for accounts you choose to watch. This policy explains what we collect, what we never collect, and how to remove your data. It covers the InstaStalk iOS app and instastalk.app. Questions go to support@instastalk.app.
What we collect
- Your account. The app creates an account automatically using a random identifier and a token stored on your device. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any password.
- Your watchlist. The usernames you add, and the activity we observe for them, so we can show you your timeline.
- Notifications. Your device push token, only if you turn notifications on.
- Purchases. Your subscription status, from Apple and our billing partner RevenueCat. We never see your card or payment details.
- Diagnostics. Standard request logs (timestamps, request identifiers, IP addresses), kept briefly for reliability and abuse prevention.
What we never collect
Your Instagram credentials. There is no Instagram login in InstaStalk, and the app never connects to or acts through your Instagram account. We do not run ads, we do not sell personal data, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Where the Instagram data comes from
The activity InstaStalk shows (profiles, public following lists, public stories) is publicly available Instagram information, retrieved through licensed third party data providers. InstaStalk only ever shows what an account makes public. If an account is private, its activity is not available to us.
How we use your data
To run the service: building your timelines, sending alerts you asked for, processing your subscription, answering support requests, and preventing abuse. Nothing else.
Who we share it with
Only the services needed to run InstaStalk: Apple (payments), RevenueCat (subscription management), our cloud hosting providers, and the data providers described above. Each receives only what it needs. We do not sell your data to anyone.
Deleting your data
Open Settings in the app and delete your account. Deletion is queued immediately and removes your account, watchlist, observed activity, and push tokens from our systems, normally within days and always within 30 days. You can also email us and we will do it for you.
If someone is watching your account
InstaStalk only ever shows information your Instagram account makes public. If you would like your public data removed from InstaStalk anyway, email support@instastalk.app and we will take care of it.
Children
InstaStalk is rated 17+ and is not directed to children.
Changes
